Chief Operating Officer

Chief Operating Officer for Environ Architecture since 2018, Aimee Mandala has had many different roles and worn many hats within the company since 2007. She manages everything from Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, and Administration to Business Development. She supports the staff, company goals and enjoys being a part of the puzzle that takes something from idea to the built environment of Long Beach and the surrounding areas. With a family tradition in architecture that stems back four generations, from a very early age she was exposed to and surrounded by the business of the industry.   

In addition to her work at Environ, being an active contributor to her community is vital to her happiness and success. Notable honors and involvement: Mandala was awarded the honor of "Outstanding Businesswoman of 2021" by the Long Beach Chamber of Commerce's Women's Business Council. She has a seat on the Board for the CSULB Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and was appointed to their Fundraising Co-Chair in 2021. In February 2022, she became Co-Chair of the Long Beach Sustainable Business Network, an organization Environ has been a member of since 2017. In 2019, Mandala spearheaded converting Environ Architecture to a Certified Green Business with the City of Long Beach. Additionally, she has served on the Long Beach Chamber of Commerce Women’s Business Council Board since 2012, holding various officer positions including President (2016-2017) and Vice President of Programs (2015-2016). She currently sits on the WBC Board as Treasurer and the Nominating Committee Chair. She also formerly served on Downtown Long Beach Alliance's Marketing and Communications Committee and was invited to participate in their Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Access Steering Committee. Mandala is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional and Certified Design Firm Administrator.
