rendering of the reception area of Cellevate

Cellevate is a community-based wellness center that brings together mind, body, and connection. The facility features state-of-the-art hot and cold plunge pools, a spacious infrared sauna, and a movement studio—all within an immersive environment designed to help guests optimize their mental and physical well-being alongside others.

The existing building layout, however, posed challenges. It was not suited to the center’s program and failed to meet current ADA standards. Environ partnered with Cellevate to reimagine the interior from the ground up, creating a layout that supports both function and flow. Accessibility was treated not as an afterthought but as an integral part of the design, ensuring every guest can fully participate in Cellevate’s restorative and communal experience.

Designing Sustainably, Building Responsibly

Sustainability guided every decision—from material selection to adaptive reuse. Naturally sourced Rockfon acoustic tiles, made from volcanic stone wool, were chosen for their durability and VOC-free composition, creating a healthier interior environment.

The existing skylight was repaired and integrated into the new design, bringing natural light into the mezzanine and reducing energy demand. Minimal updates to the façade preserved the original structure, reducing material waste and embodied carbon while refreshing the building’s visual identity.
